...EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING... The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued an Excessive Heat Watch, which is in effect from Wednesday afternoon through Saturday evening. * TEMPERATURE...Afternoon temperatures will remain the middle 90s to low 100s each afternoon with heat indices ranging from near 105 to 110. * IMPACTS...Heat-related illnesses are possible for those spending a prolonged amount of time outdoors or those who are more susceptible to heat, such as young children and elderly.
