The following information is required to be posted to the USD #244 district website by the Kansas State Department of Education:

Part-Time Enrollment Policy:  USD 244 Board Policy JBC – Part-time students may enroll with the board’s permission if they complete all paperwork in a timely fashion and are in attendance no later than September 1st.  Part-time students may be admitted only to the extent that staff, facilities, equipment, and supplies are available and the students follow the district’s student conduct policies and rules.  Click here to see Board Policies:  https://go.boarddocs.com/ks/usd244/Board.nsf/Public#

Enrollment Policy for Non-Resident Students:   Burlington USD #244 held a public hearing regarding the proposed Board of Education Policy JBCC concerning open enrollment provisions on December 11, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the USD 244 Administrative Office located at 301 Neosho Street, Burlington, Kansas 66839.  At the hearing, a representative of the board presented the board’s proposal for the policy and the board was available to hear testimony regarding the proposed policy.  A notice of the hearing was published in the November 23, 2023, and November 30, 2023, issues of the Coffey County Republican.  Enrollment of Non-Resident Students Policy

ACT WorkKeys – State testing:  October 4, 2023, with a makeup day of November 1, 2023; juniors do not register themselves

PreACT – October 25, 2023; freshmen do not register themselves

ACT – State ACT is February 27, 2024, with make up days on March 26, 2024 and April 23, 2024; juniors do not register themselves
